MicroAPL Software Licence
APLX for Linux Version 5.0

1. Licence.

MicroAPL Limited ('MicroAPL') grants you a non-exclusive licence (the
'Licence') to use the MicroAPL software program (the 'Software')
accompanying this Licence. You may place and use only one copy of the
Software on a single computer at a time. If you have multiple Licences
for the Software then you may have as many copies of the software in use
at one time as you have Licences. A copy of the Software may be installed
on the hard disc or other storage device of a network server provided that
you ensure that the number of users of the Software does not exceed the
number of Licences. You may make a reasonable number of copies of the
Software provided that such copies are solely for backup purposes.

2. Copyright.

This Software is owned by MicroAPL or its suppliers and is protected by
copyright law and international copyright treaty. You may print out the
Software documentation for your own use only.

3. Hazardous use.

The Software is not fail-safe and must not be used in applications where
failure could cause injury, death, environmental damage, or direct
financial or physical loss.

4. Restrictions.

You may not transfer, loan, sub-license, rent or lease the Software to a
third party except that you may transfer your rights under this Licence on
a permanent basis provided that you transfer this Licence and the Software
documentation, and the recipient agrees to all terms of this Licence, and
you retain no copies of the Software. You may not modify, reverse
engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software.

5. Re-distribution rights.

You may re-distribute certain executable files (known as 'packaged
workspaces') which contain portions of the Software, but only in
accordance with the enclosed Licence for Redistributing APLX Standalone
Applications. Otherwise you may not re-distribute the Software, its
documentation, or any parts thereof.

6. Limited Warranty.

MicroAPL warrants that the Software will perform substantially in
accordance with the Software documentation for a period of 90 days after
you receive the Software, provided it is used in accordance with the
documentation and this Licence.

Except as set out in the paragraph above and to the extent allowed by law,
MicroAPL provides the Software and associated documentation without
warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including, but not
limited to, any implied warranties of fitness for a particular purpose or
warranties of quality or performance. There is no warranty that the
product will be free of errors or will function without interruption. In
no event will MicroAPL or its employees and agents or suppliers be liable
for any damages arising out of the use or inability to use the Software or
the Software documentation, including, but not limited to, any damages for
lost profits or anticipated benefits, even if they have been advised of
the possibility of such damages.

7. Remedies.

MicroAPL's entire liability and your exclusive remedy under this Licence
agreement shall be, at MicroAPL's option, (a) replacement of any defective
Software or (b) refund of the original purchase price.

8. Miscellaneous.

This Licence shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws
of England. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts
in any action associated with this Licence or arising from the use of the
Software. This Licence may be amended only by a written document signed
by both parties.
